Introduction

Welcome to my story

Over the last years I have been capturing memories and stories of growing up, my family and friends. This started as a pastime while studying and an excuse to become more IT literate. It has tuned into quite a collection and many people over the years have asked to ready my stories. This is a place thanks to some help that I can get them out into the world.

Our Village

Vallerotonda, in the province of Frosinone, Italy

Vallerotonda, this a very picturesque and very old village set on the top of a mountain, with the town of Cassino at the foot of the mountains. It is surrounded with pine forests, and has some beautiful scenery and views of the famous abbey Monte Cassino and the town Cassino itself. This town was destroyed and demolished during WW11.

Rosina Dimeo

I'm an Italian but I'm also a Scot. Born in Vallerotonda in southern Italy in 1938 to spend my early years in the middle of WWII before moving to Scotland.
